Custom work is open even though the shop is not. If you have a colourway in mind, a size that does not exist, or an idea we have never stitched, this is where to start.

How a commission works
Step 1 · Day one
Tell us the idea
A colourway, a size, an animal we have never made, or a photo of something you love. Rough is fine.
Step 2 · 2–4 days
We sketch and quote
You get a stitch sketch, a yarn plan and a price before anything is cast on. If it cannot be done well, we say so.
Step 3 · 2–4 weeks
It gets made
One person makes your piece start to finish, and sends you a photo partway through.
Step 4 · Same week
Wrapped and sent
Tissue, twine, a handwritten note, and the name of the person who made it.
What we can and can’t make
Happily
- A design we already make, in colours we do not normally stock
- Sizing up a mini bag or sizing down a tote
- A new animal or motif, if we can chart it honestly
- Small sets for bridesmaids, teams or a shop
- Repairs and re-lining on any piece we have made
Never
- Copies of another maker or brand’s design
- Licensed characters we do not have permission to make
- Anything under a two-week deadline — hand work does not compress
- Machine-knit or machine-finished work of any kind
Allow two to four weeks from the day we agree the design. We quote before we start and take nothing until you have said yes to the sketch.
